Graveside Services

Graveside services are solemn ceremonies that take place at the burial site when a loved one’s remains are to be laid to rest in a cemetery. Often referred to as interment or committal services, they focus on the final rites for the departed.

The service typically consists of one or more brief, carefully chosen readings that mirror the loved one’s life, values, and beliefs. Prayers and poems are usually recited to provide comfort to those gathered. The atmosphere is one of reflection, remembrance, and respect.

Honoring & Remembering

Oftentimes, a traditional funeral service precedes the graveside service. Once the funeral service concludes, attendees participate in a procession, following the hearse to the cemetery. This journey stands as a final tribute to the departed, bridging the gap between the service commemorating their life and the act of laying them to rest.
