Donna M. (Wilson) Kinney

     Donna M. Kinney, 82, formerly of Ridge Farm passed away at 4:20 AM on Thursday, November 24, 2022 at Reflections Villas of Hollybrook in Savoy, IL. She was born on December 14, 1939 in Danville, the daughter of Don and Dorothy (Smith) Wilson. She married John A. Kinney on July 18, 1959 in Westville. He preceded her in death September 9, 2009.
      She is survived by two daughters, Shelly (Jerry) Sample of Monticello, Kimberly Hubbard of Bonnie, IL, and a son, John C. Kinney of Danville; four grandchildren, April (Kelly) Fitzpatrick, Erin (Charlie) Tate, Jess (Patty) Hubbard, and Meredith Fraker; eight great-grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren; a sister, Gloria (Sam) Mariage; special niece Cindy (Skip) Kelson; and many special friends.  In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Eddy Wilson.
     Donna was a 1958 graduate of Westville High School and worked as a cashier at John’s Food Basket for over 20 years. She was a lifelong member of Ridge Farm United Methodist Church and served on the library board of the Ridge Farm Carnegie Library. She was an avid reader and enjoyed playing cards with her card club every month.
     A service to celebrate the life of Donna Kinney will be held at 1 PM on Wednesday, November 30, 2022 at Sunset’s Houghton-Leasure Funeral Home, 200 E. West St., Georgetown, IL. Burial will follow at Crown Hill Cemetery in Ridge Farm. Pastor Melinda White will officiate. Visitation will be held from 11 AM – 1 PM prior to the service on Wednesday, also at Sunset in Georgetown.  Memorials in Donna’s name may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.  Please join Donna’s family in sharing memories, photos, and video of her life through her tribute wall at www.sunsetfuneralhome.com.
