Virginia M. (Sneyd) Blasko

     Virginia M. Blasko, 98, of Aurora, IL passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 9, 2021, at the home of her daughter.  She was born on October 30, 1922, in Westville, IL to James and Katherine Kelly Sneyd, both deceased.  She was united in marriage to John Blasko from 1948 until his passing in 1997.
     She is survived by her daughter Trina Gardner and her husband William of Hanover Park, IL; her grandchildren W. Jacob Gardner and his wife Christen, Kyla Gardner, and Morgan Gardner LeResche and her husband Michael; her great grandchildren Liam and Logan; and her siblings Lois Sneyd Fertaly and Betty Sneyd Meis.  She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, her brother James Sneyd and her sister Rosemary Sneyd Grzelak. 
     Virginia was a loving homemaker and never forgot a birthday.  She served as a volunteer in the church food pantry, hospital and elementary school. In her spare time, she enjoyed playing bridge, painting, reading newspapers, and doing crossword puzzles.  She will be dearly missed by all whose lives she touched.
     A Private family Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Resurrection Cemetery Chapel, 818 Wendt St, Danville, IL  61832 with Father Sauppé officiating.  Her family was assisted by Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Westville, Illinois 414 S State St. Westville, Illinois 61883.  Donations in her name can be made to the American Heart Association or the American Stroke Association.  Please join her family in sharing memories through her Tribute Wall at www.sunsetfuneralhome.com.
