Shirley Scott Obituary

Georgetown – Shirley A. Scott, 78, of Georgetown, IL went home to be with her Lord and Savior Tuesday, April 6, 2021 at 5:57 AM.

Shirley was born on May 11, 1942 in Frankfort, IN the daughter of Edward and Lema (Hansell) Fitzwater. She was united in holy matrimony to Larry D. Scott in Rosiclare, IL on December 22, 1975 and he will miss her dearly.

Survivors include her husband, Larry D. Scott, three sisters, Geneva Cook, Mary Roe and Carolyn Suzie Pate, one brother, Marvin Fitzwater as well as several nieces and nephews and great nieces and great nephews, whom she loved dearly.

Shirley is preceded in death by her parents, and several brothers.

A Memorial Celebration of Life Service will be held at 2:00 PM on Tuesday May 11, 2021 at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 3940 N Vermilion St., Danville, IL 61834. Coy Overpeck and Ron Noggle will officiate. Inurnment will be in Sunset Memorial Park in Danville, IL. Visitation will be held from 1:00 - 2:00 PM on Tuesday May 11, 2021 at the funeral home.

Memorials may be made to the Cumberland Presbyterian Church.
