Norma Jean Pinegar born November 10, 1935 went to be with the Lord on Thursday July 23, 2020. She was born the daughter of Sterling and Ruby (Lamm) Meeker of Bismarck, IL. She married John (Jack) Pinegar of Danville on February 2, 1957. He preceded her in death.
She was also preceded in death by her dad Sterling, sisters Clara (Meeker) Ingalsbe and Wanda (Meeker) Falletti, daughter Debbie (Pinegar) Frank, son in law Joe Frank, and son Jeff Pinegar.
She is survived by her mother Ruby (Lamm) Meeker, brother Floyd (Sharon) Meeker, son Dale (Kim) Pinegar, 6 grandchildren Crystal (Kris) Such, Katie (Nick) Tuggle, Dwayne Huls, Matt Pinegar, Amy (Brandon) Tuggle, Lukas Pinegar, and 12 great grandchildren Garrett Such, Kaleb Such, Megan Such, Audrey Murdock, Love Wright, River Cole, Logan Kasallis, Aiden Huls, Dylan Huls, Madi Huls, Emery Tuggle, and Vincent Pinegar.
Norma worked in food service at District 118 for many years and retired from Hardees as their award-winning biscuit maker. She was a lifelong member of Crossroads Christian Church (formerly Old Union Church of Christ). Norma loved spending time with her kids and grandkids, gardening, cooking, and sewing for her grandchildren. She will be deeply missed by her family and friends.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 28, 2020 at CrossRoads Christian Church, 3613 N Vermilion St in Danville. Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Danville, Illinois, 3940 N Vermilion St. Danville, Illinois 61834 has been entrusted with arrangements. Officiating will be Pastor Miles Clark. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Park in Danville. Visitation will be held just prior to the service from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the church.
