Danville – Judith “Judy” Ann Kinney, 80, of Danville, IL passed away on November 24, 2021 at the Villas of Holly Brook in Danville, IL at 5:20 AM.

Judy was born on January 11, 1941, the daughter of Wendell B and Mallie B. (Greenwood) Stevenson in Marshfield, Warren County, Indiana. She married Albert J. Kinney on January 4, 1959 in West Lebanon, Indiana. He preceded her in death on May 2, 2020.

Judy went to heaven. I'm sure Dad was waiting on her at heaven’s gate. While it is a sad time in our lives, we are all thankful that she is finally free of the pain she suffered with these last several years.

She was a loyal servant to our Lord Jesus Christ her whole life. She was a true prayer warrior.

From decorating for various functions to performing custodial work, she devoted her life to her family and to the church. She had a servant’s heart.

We all Love you and miss you.

Survivors include one son, Steven (Julie) Kinney of Westville, IL, two daughters, Christy (Arthur) Potts of Sunset Beach, NC and Sheila (David) Switzer of Bismarck, IL, four brothers, Dennis (Melanie) Stevenson, Ronald (Cheryl) Stevenson, Timothy (Darlene) Stevenson, Paul (Cindy) Stevenson and one sister, Kay (Donald) Lape, as well as six grandchildren, Megan (Cory) Rieches, Lucas (Sarah) Switzer, Morgan Goforth, Taylor Kinney, Riley Kinney and Adison Kinney as well as three great-grandchildren, Mason Rieches, Maxwell Rieches and Kinsley Switzer.

Judy is preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Albert.

Judy was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene in Danville.  She enjoyed spending her free time decorating, shopping, and helping do wedding coordination. Judy was a devout Illini basketball fan and loved her grandchildren dearly. She also enjoyed the staff and friends she made while living at the Villas of Holly Brook.
