Joyce (Tuel) Troxel

     Joyce Troxel, 81, of Chrisman, passed away at 8:57am, Monday, June 20, 2022, at her home.  She was born on March 14, 1941, in Humrick, IL, the daughter of Warner and Ellen {Mullins} Tuel, both deceased.  She was united in marriage to Jerry Troxel until his passing.
     She will dearly be missed by her children, Tim (Cyanda) Troxel of Freetown, Indiana, & Kim (the late Ernie) Hires of Chrisman; her grandchildren, Nichole (Thomas) Henson, Eric (Heather) Hires, Gerald (Robin) Troxel, Chad (Cierria) Hires, & Ashley Troxel; her 14 great grandchildren; and her sisters, Esther (Ralph) Costley & Velsa (Doyne) Ellis.  She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; infant sister; sister, Maxine Ellis; and brother, Bob Tuel.
     Joyce was a homemaker and loved her family.  She especially cherished her grandchildren and great grandchildren.  In her spare time, she enjoyed reading, doing crossword puzzles and cross stitch.  She also enjoyed watching her favorite Saturday night show, Larry’s Dinner.  She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
     A celebration of Joyce’s life will be held at 10:30am, Friday, June 24, 2022, at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Georgetown, Illinois 200 E. West St. Georgetown, Illinois 61846 with Troy Warner officiating.  Visitation will be 10:00am to 10:30am on Friday prior to her service at the funeral home.  She will be laid to rest in Hoult Cemetery, Chrisman, IL.  Memorial donations may be given in her name to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.  Please join her family in sharing memories through her Tribute Wall at www.sunsetfuneralhome.com.
