Joseph McClintock Obituary

Joseph “Joe” Ray McClintock, 21, of Georgetown, IL, passed away early Monday July 8, 2019, at his home.  He was born on November 7, 1997 in Danville, IL, the son of Kenneth Edwin McClintock and Raenee Lyn Hughes McClintock.

Joseph leaves behind: his mother, Raenee McClintock of Georgetown; his father, Kenneth Edwin McClintock of Westville; his big sister, Kenna Jean McClintock; his little brother, Coner Vaughn McClintock; his grandma, Carolyn Joan Byerly Hughes; and many other family and friends too numerous to name.  He was preceded in death by his grandpa, Dennis Vaughn Hughes.

Joseph was known to many as a young man with a heart of gold.  He loved to fish and work with computers, trains, and video games.  He was attending Danville Area Community College to obtain his certificate in Computer Programming.   He was a loveable person with a smile that could light up a room.  Although his life was short, he impacted many lives.

A private family memorial service will be held at Olivet Church of the Nazarene with Pastor James Blue officiating.  Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center, Georgetown, 200 E West St. assisted the family. In lieu of flowers, the family is accepting donations to help with final expenses.  Because of this tragedy, the family would also like help in spreading awareness about suicide prevention.  “WE will ALWAYS love and miss you, Bubba.” Please join his family in sharing memories through his Tribute Wall at www.sunsetfuneralhome.com.
