Donald Frank Goodwin

Donald Frank Goodwin, 60, of Covington, passed away on Wednesday, July 1, 2020. He was born on January 11, 1960 in Danville, IL, the son of Donnie and Judith (Allen) Goodwin. He was united in marriage to Lois Tibbett on June 14, 1980, she survives.

He will be dearly missed by sons, Franklin R. Goodwin of Westville, IL and Brian S. Goodwin of Covington; daughter, Katrina A. (Zane Dillon) Edwards of Covington; sisters, Diana K. Rogers of Veedersburg and Cristy A. Purple of Battle Ground, IN; grandchildren, Nevin R. Goodwin, Rollin C. McCord, Brody P. Edwards, Drake A. McCord and Korbin L. Edwards. Frank was preceded in death by his mother Judith Goodwin.

Frank enjoyed bowling and slow pitch softball and going for long rides with his son, Brian. In his youth he loved riding pony’s with his sisters and wrestling all through high school. He had great memories of fishing, hunting, and making maple syrup with his dad and son, Brian. Frank loved spending his weekends camping at Sugar Mill Lake with all of his friends and family. He cherished all the time he would spend with his grandkids and watching them play sports, including all the time he spent with his oldest grandson, Nevin and teaching him everything he knows. Frank was the type of man that would help anyone at any time. He was a loving son, husband, father, and papa. He will be dearly missed by all that knew him.

A Memorial Visitation will be held 5:00pm to 7:00pm (EST), Wednesday, July 8, 2020, at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Covington, Indiana 420 3rd St. Covington, Indiana 47932. As per his wishes he will be cremated and buried at Mt. Hope Cemetery, Covington, IN at a later date.
