David Wright

     David Wright,64, of Decatur, passed away at 7:20pm, Friday, November 12, 2021.  He was born the son of Richard and Edna Wright in Monticello, IL, on March 5, 1957.
     He is survived by his father, Richard; his siblings, Rita Bendekovich, Pete Wright, Karen Wright, & Terrie (Jeff) Sanders; and his several aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his mother, Edna; his sister, Jeannie Massatto; and his nephew, Anthony Bendekovich.
     David worked for ADM for 42 years until his retirement in 2019.  He was known as an avid history enthusiast, particularly for World War II era knowledge.  He enjoyed working on antique cars and playing chess.  He will be dearly missed by family and many friends.
     A celebration of David’s life will be held at 2:00pm, Sunday, November 21, 2021, at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Georgetown, Illinois 200 E. West St. Georgetown, Illinois 61846.  Visitation will be held 1:00pm - 2:00pm on Sunday prior to his service at the funeral home.  He will be laid to rest in Crown Hill Cemetery, Ridge Farm, IL.  Memorial donations may be given in his name to Wounded Warrior Project.  Please join his family in sharing memories through his Tribute Wall at www.sunsetfuneralhome.com.
