Danny Roberts

Danny K. Roberts, 57, of Belgium, IL died at home on August 8, 2020 in Westville, IL after a long battle with cancer. He was the son of the late Edgar and Kay (Dombroskie) Roberts.

He was preceded in death by brothers, Michael Roberts, Jim Roberts, and Greg Roberts, and stepson, Michael Coffey.

Danny is survived by his loving wife, Sheila Roberts; daughters, Nicole Roberts and Terrie Roberts; son, Kyle (Megan) Roberts; stepdaughter, Sherri Reed( Christopher); stepson, Scott Coffey; grandchildren, Seth, DeSani, Justus, Jake, Able,  Caleb, Elijah, Natalie, Donovan, Desire, Ivory, Haley(Ashton), Justice, Ryleigh, and Drew; great grandchildren, Andre, Isaac, and Ezekiel; brothers, Brian (Anita) Roberts and Kervin (Chris) Roberts; several nieces and nephews; special friends, Tim Palmisano (MLFB), Rich Kensell Jr., and Michael Coffey; as well as two special fur babies Chewy and Jack.

Danny was an avid Chicago Cubs and Chicago Bears fan. He worked for Lincoln Lanes for 12 years and for Johnson Trucking for 10 years before becoming sick. He was also a long-time member of the Elks. He will be missed by so many people.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Wednesday, August 12, 2020 at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Oakwood, Illinois 105 East S. Main St. Oakwood, Illinois 61858. Officiating will be Pastor Raymie Gordon. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be held just prior to the service from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the funeral home.  In lieu of flowers memorial donations in Danny’s name may be made to any Cancer Charity of your choice. The family also requests you wear your Cubs or Harley attire.
