Obituary

                Carroll “Andy” Lawson, 87, of Collison passed away on Friday, February 12, 2021 at home surrounded by his family. He was born one of six children to Carroll and Mary Lawson on February 9, 1934 in Paris, Illinois. They preceded him in death. He was also preceded in death by his wife Beulah, his sister, Rachael Shannon, and brother, William Lawson.

                Andy is survived by his son Tim (Ronda) Lawson and daughters Sandy and Nita Lawson, and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Also surviving includes his sisters Francis Lawson, Nancy Dean, and Janie (Joe) Summers, special friend Cora Mae “Corky” Kirts, and his faithful companion Skippy Dog.

                Andy worked at Producers Diary for 13 years prior to his 28 years at Hyster before his eventual retirement. He hardly ever missed a day of work and will always be remembered as a hard worker. Andy and Beulah enjoyed traveling all across the country on their motorcycle together whenever they had a chance. Andy loved to collect and restore antique gas station pumps. He was also an avid photographer and won a few ribbons at the local fairs.

                A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 20, 2021 at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Danville, Illinois, 3940 N Vermilion St. Danville, Illinois 61834. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Park in Danville. Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. prior to the service on Saturday at the funeral home.
