Carol (McArdle) Damilano

     Carol Damilano, 87, of Perrysville, IN, went home to be with her Lord & Savior, Jesus Christ, at 1:30pm, Friday, January 1, 2021, at OSF Sacred Heart Medical Center, Danville, IL.  She was born on June 12, 1933, in Westville, IL, the daughter of Roy and Mildred {Smith} McArdle.  She was married to Mark Damilano until his passing.
     Mark and Carol owned and operated Damilano Motors Sales in Westville for many years where Carol kept the books.  They also farmed.  She was a member of First Baptist Church in Danville, IL. and then Mount Carmel Baptist Church in Perrysville, IN.  Carol raised sheep and chickens, as well as kept a garden.  She played the piano and organ.  Her children and grandchildren meant the world to her. She loved to cook for them all and was a wonderful hostess. She enjoyed all her children’s friends many of whom referred to her as their second Mom. She loved having family, friends, and neighbors out to the farm for cook outs. Carol took care of her husband, mother, & stepmother for many years with their healthcare needs.  She will be missed by all whose lives she touched.
     Carol is survived by her son, Michael (Susan) Chrostowski; her daughter, Theresa Marie (Daniel) Lewis; her grandchildren, Sarah (Andrew) Day; Bradley (Britni) Chrostowski, and Betsy Lewis. She is also survived by her very special great granddaughter, Natalie Day.  She is survived by several special nieces and nephews and so many wonderful cousins whom she loved dearly. She was preceded in death by her parents; her brothers, Roy McArdle Jr. & Robert McArdle who died at 2 years old and her husband, Mark. 
     A Graveside Service will be held at 11:00am, Friday, January 8, 2021, at Resurrection Cemetery with Pastor Scott Randolph officiating.  Her arrangements were entrusted to Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Westville, Illinois 414 S State St. Westville, Illinois 61883.  She will be laid to rest next to her husband.  Memorial donations may be given in her name to Camp Assurance, 8364 County Road 2100 E.
