He and his wife traveled with their special friends Allen and Betty Heaton to the Grand Old Opry and enjoyed having a good laugh, hallelujah or simply enjoying a cup of coffee with each other. After Wayne retired, he enjoyed repairing bicycles in his back yard for friends and serving as a bell ringer for the Salvation Army. Wayne also loved his chihuahua “Tiny” and the kids always called him “The Gum Man” or “Waynie”.
