Thomas Wayne Haga, 64, of Veedersburg, IN passed away at his home in the arms of his family. He was born on August 23, 1954 the son of James Haga and Joanne (Clodfelder) Nolan. On August 12, 1977 Tom married the love of his life Vicki Lane and they have spent the last 41 years happily married, she survives.
Also surviving are mother, Joanne (Jerry) Nolan, son, Joshua Haga; daughters, Chelsea (Nick) Batchelor, Rebecca (Frank) Wheeler; brothers, James “Wendall” Haga, Donnie (Connie) Haga; sisters, Kathy (Dave) Thomas, Janet Buck; grandchildren, Ayden Batchelor, Easton Batchelor, Lucas Hahn; very special sister in laws Chrissy (Dave) Stebbins and Lori (Ron) Muzzana. Along with several nieces, nephews and friends that he loved very much.
Tom is preceded in death by his father, James “Bud” Haga and grandson, Vincent Hahn.
Tom enjoyed bowling and wood working. He also loved spending time outside in his vegetable garden, fishing and racing.
Tom will forever be remembered for his laughter, his gentleness, his crazy jokes and his sleeping wherever he became tired. His greatest gift was passing knowledge on to his son, son-in-law and grandsons on how to repair anything without the use of duct tape. Your love was the greatest, we will miss you Dad – till we meet again.
Visitations will be held from 4pm to 7pm CST on March 7, 2019 at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center 3940 N. Vermilion Street. Danville IL. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 10am CST on Friday March 8, 2019 at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center. Burial will be in Gundy Cemetery in Bismarck IL.
