Jacob Kyle Morrissey, age 26 of Mahomet, passed away Tuesday, December 1, 2015 at 12:45 AM in Rantoul. He was born March 2, 1989 the son of Joey Kyle Morrissey and Bobbie Jo (Winemiller) Davis. Jacob will be dearly missed by his children, Paetyn and Laelyn Morrissey; parents, Bobbie Jo (Ryan Howe) Davis and Joey Morrissey; sisters, Jessica and Jenesis Grigg; grandparents, Terry (Brenda) Winemiller, Lee Morrissey, Donald Ditmer, and Michael Howard; great-grandmother, Doris Edwards; uncles, Blake Winemiller, Kale Zimmerman, and Tim, Terry, Mike, and Jerry Morrissey; aunts, Mary Winemiller-Pettenger, Brooke Zimmerman, Blair Balbach, and Kristina Brown; special cousins, Larry and Kelcie O'Neal, and Mya Pettenger; as well as many other special relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Linda Henderson-Ditmer, Judy Howard, and Alan Zimmerman. Jacob was a hardworking man and proudly worked for the Iron Workers Local Union #380. He enjoyed MMA fighting. Jacob was very dedicated to weightlifting, health, and fitness. A celebration of Jacob's life will be held Saturday, December 5, 2015 at 1:00 PM at Mahomet Christian Church, 908 N. Lake of the Woods Road in Mahomet. Pastor Jeff Dyson will officiate. Jacob will be laid to rest at Blue Ridge Cemetery in Mansfield. Visitation will be held at the church from 11-1PM Saturday, December 1, 2015 prior to the service. Memorials can be made in his name to Jacob's family to help with final expenses.
